^This is me, in a photo taken by someone I've been close to
So, at the urging of someone close to me, I'm starting a blog. I've always journaled. But to make my journaling public, well... This is new... I guess in a way, it's a lot like posting to the Book of Face (My alternative term for Facebook that I use because I feel like it's cooler than actually saying "Facebook").I'm kind of a unique person, and anyone that knows me at all will tell you that in one way or another. My diet is weird, to most people. My interests are generally on the musical or nerdy side. I have a strange family life, at least most people find it weird and label us as "the perfect family." I could go on about how unique I am, but it feels like I'm gloating and putting myself down at the same time.
To elaborate on some of the weirdness mentioned above:
- I have celiac diesease (I've never actually been tested, but Mum is, so...), which makes me gluten intolerant. And I'm also lactose intolerant.
- I play guitar and listen to literally all forms of music. This is partially by personal choice, but it is also the result of having parents that have always insisted that my brothers and I at least attempt to enjoy everything that music is.
- I work at a comic book store called Heroes and Villains (I recommend you check out our Facebook, as I post some pretty funny stuff to it). I love comic books, especially Green Lantern. I am a collector and player of the game, Magic: The Gathering. I enjoy Warhammer 40,000 (Or 40K, depending on who it is you're talking to). I am just an all around nerd.
- I'm regularily called Sheldon, because I apparently act like the much loved character form the show, Big Bang Theory.
- Our "perfect family" consists of my Mum, my Dad, my two younger brothers, Warren (14) and Dylan (12), and of course myself. In the past, everyone has always remarked that we're such a close knit family unit, and we are, but we are far from perfect. We've got our fair share of problems, and to be real, what family doesn't. But we are very close. When something thing hurts one of us, it hurts all of us, in one way or another. When one of us has a reason to celebrate, we all celebrate.
- I am eighteen, at the time of writing this, but all of my best friends are closer to thirty. I've always been maturer than most people my age, but my readiness to grow up is only made worse by the age gap between myself and Chris, Kyle, Rhonda, and Brandy.

You've got more nerve than me. I've been keeping a journal for over 40 years and the first time I've even made any really public comments on line was just a few days ago. Also hope you don't mind if I follow yours. Good luck,AJ
ReplyDeleteI do not mind at all! I honestly wasn't expecting to have people start reading this, especially not this early on.
